Memorandum of Association

  1. A Society for Promotion of Science and Technology in India.
  2. The registered office of the Society shall be at 229, Sector-4, Mansa Devi Complex,Panchkula.
  3. The area of operation of the society shall be the entire States of Haryana and Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh, which could be extended to other parts of India, depending on the availability of funds, space and needs.
  4. The aims and objectives of the Society shall be as under:-
  5. To promote science and technology amongst people of all age groups.
  6. To impart knowledge in various fields of science, technology and related areas.
  7. To inspire and encourage younger generation to discover their talents in various fields of science and technology and help them to excel in them.
  8. To aid, establish or collaborate with any educational institution, society, association, academy, corporate body or any individual for the promotion of science and technology.
  9. To impart, teach and set up and provide facilities for learning in various fields of science and technology.
  10. To undertake consultancy work, studies, survey and research work and prepare reports of its own or on behalf of any other institution or organization.
  11. To purchase, take on lease, accept as gift or otherwise acquire any land or building, which may be necessary or convenient for the purpose of fulfillment of the aims and objective of the Society.
  12. To make such grants as the Society may think fit for the promotion of science and technology amongst the people.
  13. To grant scholarships, stipend, assistance or loan to deserving and needy students and other persons for pursuing science and technology.
  14. To establish science laboratories, science museum, lecture halls etc. for the promotion of science and technology.
  15. To organize lectures, seminars, study tours etc. for the promotion of science and technology.
  16. To function purely on charitable basis and to run the Society on ‘no profit no loss’ basis.
  17. To accept donations, raise subscription from members of the Society or other persons, to invest funds of the Society with such Scheduled banks, individuals, societies, firms or companies for providing income to the Society, on such terms and conditions, as may be deemed proper and necessary for the fulfillment of the aims and objects of the Society and to further its interest as enumerated above.
  18. To do all such acts, as may be useful and necessary for attainment of the above objects.

Terms and Conditions:-

  1. The income from movable and immovable properties of the Society shall be applied towards the promotion of the objectives of the Society as set forth in the Memorandum of Association, and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred, directly or indirectly, by way of dividend, bonus or otherwise by way of profit to the members or office bearers of the Society.
  2. No member of the General Body and Governing Council of the Society shall be appointed to any salaried office of the Society and no remuneration shall be given by the Society to any member of such General Body and Governing and except payment of out-of-pocket expenses, incidentals, interest on money lent and rent for the premises rented to the Society.
  3. If upon the winding up or dissolution of the Society, there remains after satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities any property whatsoever, the same shall not be paid to or disbursed amongst the members of the Society, but shall be given or transferred to some other society or trust having objects, similar to the objects of the Society to be determined by the members of the Society at or before the time of dissolution.
