The Article 51A (h)

The Article 51A (h) tells us that we should develop in ourselves a scientific outlook, humanism and the spirit of learning and improvement. The same was incorporated within the Constitution of India under clause (h) of Article 51A, inserted in 1976 through the 42nd amendment, which has cast upon every citizen a duty “to develop scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.”

The Society for Promotion of Science & Technology in India (SPSTI) taken an initiative to aware people about this.

In the famous International Gita Mahotsav – 2021, which is organized by the Govt. of Haryana every year at the Asia’s largest man-made pond, Brahma Sarovar, SPSTI conducted a science exhibition for the general public. The initiative to aware the people about this was to make them learn about this and motivating them to adopt scientific practices in their daily life. A selfie-stand was installed to engage them in this activity which could help them later to remind about this duty. A large number of people participated in this unique activity. Some glimpses are attached.
