The Central University of Punjab (CUPB), Bathinda was established in 2009 by an Act of Parliament (No. 25 of 2009) having its transit campus at City Campus, Mansa Road, Bathinda, a premier organization that offers a wide range of instructional and research facilities across integrated and cross-disciplinary studies to uplift and upgrade the standards of teaching, learning and research to global levels of excellence.
The Memorandum of Academic Support signed between SPSTI and CUPB on August 21, 2018 seek to promote and arrange events for training of college/ school teachers, exposure of science students to various lab techniques and equipments, interaction with renowned scientists and educationists through lectures, seminars and conferences, workshops and debates, apprising students about various scholarships, loans and supports available from Govts, Corporates, NGOs, International organizations and individuals, cooperation in projects and research activities of mutual interest, promotion of science and technology with the help of DST (GoI) and other Govt. departments and organizations.
The Memorandum was signed in the presence of Prof. R.K. Kohli, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, Shri Dharam Vir, IAS (Retd.) & former Chief Secretary of Haryana and President SPSTI, Prof. Keya Dharamvir, formerly of Dept. of Physics, Panjab University Chandigarh and General Secretary of SPSTI, Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Singh, Registrar of CUPB and Er. M.L. Garg, FIE, Educator, Social Entrepreneur & Science Communicator and Regional Coordinator of Punjab of SPSTI.
