An internationally renowned Neurologist Prof. Dr. Vivek Lal, MD, DM, FRCP(E) continues to serve as the Head of the Department of Neurology of PGIMER, Chandigarh. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Neurology (FAIN). He has been a Global Program Director and Chairperson- Teaching courses on Neuro-Ophthalmology at three successive World Congresses of Neurology in 2017, 2019 and 2021 held at Kyoto, Dubai and Rome, respectively. He also served as Visiting Guest Faculty (Neurology) at University of Oxford, UK in March 2016. He has over 200 original publications in International peer reviewed Journals to his credit, and has guided numerous MD and DM students for over three decades at PGIMER. He had been invited to serve as Dean of Faculty of Medical Sciences at Baba Farid University for Health Sciences for one year in 2015.
